A Seamless Blend of Form and Function
We designed and fabricated a custom acrylic display case featuring a sliding deck system—a smart alternative to traditional lift-off vitrines. This innovative design allows the front acrylic panel to glide forward with the deck to provide clear, unobstructed access to artifacts or objects inside without needing to remove the top. Magnetic closures provide a clean finish.
Built from UV-filtering, museum-grade acrylic, the case offers exceptional visibility and protection. For added peace of mind, we also integrated keyed security locks to safeguard valuable items.
Hidden Features, Elevated Utility
The base is a custom natural cherry hardwood cabinet with two doors for built-in storage, giving curators a practical place to store related materials or tools.
And to make the case even more versatile, we added lift-up side panels that conceal hidden casters, allowing for smooth mobility without disrupting the clean aesthetic. The entire unit can be repositioned as needed, perfect for dynamic exhibit spaces or multi-use environments.
