Corporate History Walls: Helping the Story of American Digital Come to Life

Every company has a story. The harder part is figuring out how to tell it in a way that people can actually feel. When American Digital, working through their interior design partner Rieke Interiors, decided to create a history wall for their corporate office, they had a sense of what they wanted but not a clear picture of how to get there.

That’s where Gemini came in.

A History Worth Putting on the Wall

American Digital had what a lot of companies have: four decades of milestones, partnerships, and growth moments scattered across folders, archives, and institutional memory. The challenge was not finding the content. It was shaping all of it into something cohesive, visually compelling, and worthy of the wall it was going on.

The result needed to feel like American Digital, not a generic corporate timeline. Their brand colors, navy and yellow, their story broken into eras, their wins, their people, and the thread connecting all of it had to come through clearly from the moment someone walked in.

Today, the wall is the first thing people notice when they walk into American Digital's office. It is layered, dimensional, and distinctly theirs. It also does something quietly powerful. Visitors who encounter four decades of genuine story tend to walk away with a very different impression than those who only saw the website. That kind of connection does not happen by accident. Your history is one of the most underused assets you have. When it is told well and given the right space, it builds trust in a way no brochure can replicate. A well-designed history wall puts all of that to work.

From First Sketch to Final Install

This was a true start-to-finish project. Working in close collaboration with Rieke, Gemini was brought in early and stayed all the way through to installation day. The team developed the design concept and organized the content, worked through the layout decisions and production details, and handled the rendering process so the client could see exactly what they were getting before anything was built.

The wall came together through a thoughtful mix of materials. Large printed vinyl circles carry the milestone callouts and narrative moments, giving the wall rhythm and a sense of movement. Printed photos on Sintra add dimension and visual weight, pulling the eye from one era to the next. The decade markers and main header at the top were produced in printed white acrylic, tying the whole installation together with a clean, finished quality.

That combination of materials was not just a visual decision. It gave the project flexibility without sacrificing impact, proving that a well-designed corporate history wall does not have to choose between looking great and working within a real budget.
