Gemini Builds It started as Gemini Moulding — a supplier, not yet the company it is today. In 2016, Courtney Wright, who'd already built and sold one company in this exact space, saw what it could become and bought it.
She wasn't new to this. Courtney founded CDW Merchants, the leading provider of 3D visual retail displays and e-commerce gift packaging for retailers like Kate Spade, Sperry's, and Club Monaco, before selling it to a global company in 2016.
Since then, Gemini has grown into a 50,000 square-foot, full-service facility in Elgin — handling design, fabrication, and installation in-house for clients across retail, corporate, hospitality, healthcare, e-commerce, and museums, nationwide.

Courtney's day starts at 4:30am. New England born, Illinois raised after attending Lake Forest College, she's spent her career building and scaling manufacturing businesses most people assumed a woman couldn't run.
She's been married to her husband and business partner, Larry, for 27 years, and together they have two sons — she prides herself on never missing either of their events.
